On October 26, 2003, several families began gathering together in prayer with a shared vision of establishing a church in King, NC. As they sought the Lord's direction, God raised up Pastor Bob Lindsay to serve as the founding lead pastor.
Soon later, Living Word Ministries began holding services at the former Western Steer Restaurant in King. It was renovated and transformed into a place where people could gather to worship, grow in their faith, and experience the presence of God.
As God continued to bless the ministry, Living Word Ministries moved locations a few years later. The church dedicated its new campus at 313 Newsome Road in King, celebrating God's faithfulness and looking forward to all He would continue to do.
Living Word Ministries established Living Word Christian Academy in 2019. We partner with Christian parents to not only help kids grow academically but grow stronger in their relationship with God.
From the very beginning, Living Word Ministries has been committed to lifting up the name of Jesus Christ. We believe in the life-changing power of the Gospel and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit. Through God's grace, lives have been transformed, the sick have been healed, families have been restored, and countless people have found hope, purpose, and a place to belong.
Today, Living Word Ministries continues to be a Spirit-filled church where everyone is welcome, the Word of God is boldly proclaimed, and Jesus is at the center of everything we do. As we look to the future, we remain committed to sharing God's love with our community and making disciples for His glory!
